How do I join?
Before the beginning of each short course you just have to notify Briony that you would like to participate in the course. By signing up in class, via email, text or phone.
briony@giveintodance.com
Tel:07971043788
When you turn up to your very first class you will be asked to fill in a registration form. Or you can pre register online beforehand.
The online registration form does not guarantee you a place in the class, you must contact Briony to be added to the register to save your place.
Can I come whenever I want?
Yes, adults can choose to participate for the whole course or on a drop in basic.
However over the course of the six weeks participants learn a full dance routine, it is not suggested to join late into the course. We recommend you wait for the start of the next course available if you are a beginner to Street Dance.
Beginner or Intermediate classes?
All levels are Welcome!
Beginners Class - This class is for beginners and participants with a little experience in dance.
Intermediate Class - These classes are designed to expand your knowledge and performance skills. Intermediate classes are suitable for participants with experience, who are returning to dance or have knowledge of street style.
If you are unsure of which class to join, you could try the beginners class and if it is not challenging enough join the intermediate class the following week.
How much does it cost?
The courses cost £45 for a 6-week course or £52 for a 7-week course. Payment is taken at the first class at the beginning of each new course. Payable in cheque (made out to Give into Dance) or in cash.
Or you can choose to pay £9 on the door as a weekly drop in fee.
It is much cheaper to pay for a full dance course than to pay a weekly door fee.
What is the age range?
The average age range of the participants is 20-40 years.
What should I wear?
Loose comfortable clothing (T-shirt & tracksuit bottoms) and trainers.
What dance style are the classes?
The dance style is a fusion of street, jazz and hip-hop dance. The dance routine depends on what song we are using in the classes.
What will I get out of these classes?
The short courses allow participants to learn a whole dance routine progressing over the six weeks of classes.
Our classes are structured to develop technique, dance style, fitness, co-ordination and confidence.
For those adult participants wishing to perform there are many performance opportunities available throughout the year.
