CHRISTMAS DANCE SHOW 2011

The Give into Dance Company Show
Saturday 17th December – Held at The Place Theatre 

The Schedule:  

12.30pm            Start Arriving 
1.00 – 2.00pm   Registration and Meeting 
2.00 – 4.00pm   Technical Dress Rehearsal
4.30pm         1st Performance 
6.00 – 7.00pm   Break
7.30pm              2nd Performance 
9.00 – 9.30pm Finish and Leave back stage 

The show is being performed two times. Your child is performing the same routine/s in both shows. We are repeating the show to allow as many people to watch the show as possible. Last year tickets sold out and there were not enough tickets for everyone. We have moved the performance to a bigger theatre, The Place Theatre. Tickets are on a first come first served basis. Purchase your tickets as soon as possible.

Ticket Price: 
£8.50 for Children (under 16 years), students, O.A.P’s 
£12.50 for Adults  

Once our performance is set up on the theatres ticket system I will send the booking details of how to purchase your tickets.

Dress Rehearsal:
Saturday 10th December - Held at Jackson’s Lane

The dress rehearsal is held from 2- 6pm, in studio 1. The cost for this 4-hour rehearsal is £6, please bring this with you on the day of the rehearsal as you sigh in. The aim of this rehearsal is to perform the whole show, in order, in full costume. Ironing out any problems that may arise and also aiming that each student understands the running order of the show and practising their entering and exiting the stage.

It is imperative that each student performing in the show attended all the remaining dance classes of the term as well as the dress rehearsal. Missing classes only causes confusion and frustration to the performer.

Costumes:
The Give into Dance online clothes shop will soon be live and you will be able to buy the clothing.

Students will need to purchase their dance top for the performances. By going to the Give into Dance online clothes shop, select your dance top listed by the weekly dance group you attend.

However you can buy any other merchandise you like but you must wear the correct top for your performance in the shows. The item will be delivered straight to your home.

As most of the student’s are in more than one routine, we will discuss their other costume in class. You will be given a detailed costume list a month before the show. This will mostly be made up of items the students have at home like: trainers, jeans, tracksuit bottoms etc. I will buy many of the props and accessories for the show but I will let you know in advance if there are other items you need to buy.

Filming:
The evening performance (Saturday 17th Dec 7.30pm) will be professional filmed by The Place Theatre.

Help:
If any parents would like to chaperone the under 16 years back stage it would be greatly appreciated. This involves sitting with the children throughout the show and escorting the children to and from the stage to perform their dance routines.
